Martin Foote
Growing up in a musical household, Martin initially learned to play folk-blues guitar from his father, Nigel, who took him to see Australia's sensational guitarists, Joe Robinson, Michael Fix, Bruce Mathiske and the master himself, Tommy Emmanuel – players who inspired Martin to get serious about the guitar. Off went the TV and computer games, and out came the guitar – for hours and hours and hours. Martin impressed Joe Robinson with his playing of "Classical Gas" after one of Joe's concerts at the Clarendon.
Martin has started to perform locally in the Blue Mountains, including gigs at the Clarendon, the Winter Magic Festival, Katoomba High School, Rotary and last year was booked by the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens for the 'Sounds Of Sculpture' exhibition.
Martin plays with fire and passion and is turning heads wherever he performs and drawing favourable comments from seasoned musicians. Now with his school years behind him, Martin is free to pursue the dream...
Just goes to show the rewards that a little inspiration and turning off the TV can bring!
